Cutting down paper is one of the first steps in moving to the cloud. Paper is expensive and hard to manage. The guys over at Gigaom have published a short article on 8 iOS (iPhone & iPad) apps that can help a business get rid of their paper. Here is the link to the orginial article: http://goo.gl/B2WcG
In particular, I highly reccomend Penultimate. I've used the app for about a year and I've found it helpful for taking notes or jotting down my thoughts. It's the perfect notebook app for the iPad. Tons of great features such as multipage notebooks, different color pens, and different types of paper. There is something for everybody. Check out their site: http://goo.gl/MqwqG

Motherboard.tv is reporting that Google is delivering high-speed fiber internet access to the Palo Alto area. The service will be free to faculty and students. Users can expect speeds upwards of 75mbs. Google isn't waiting for the telco companies to improve the Nation's Internet access... they are building their own independent data network. Thus far they have connected a few blessed Silcon Valley communities as well as Kanas City, Kanas. The video below describes the advantages of high speed fibre.
